The famous 18th and Vine section of Kansas City is undergoing a renaissance, which is celebrated in this work by artist Julie Larson. The inspiration for my design was the 18th and Vine Jazz District, and mainly the important impact Kansas City had on the history of Jazz. The design of the cow is meant to show the liveliness of Jazz Music.
18th & Bovine is mostly black with the work JAZZ in large letters on the sides of the cow. The J represents a saxophone and is painted in gold. The AZZ are mostly white with many lines and colors included in them, and are meant to look like they are in motion. There are many musical notes, circles, squares and triangles in bright green, magenta, violet, teal, white, gold and silver. So, liven up your house with this piece of Jazz history.
