An appaloosa horse appears on one side of Ciscow. The artist rode appaloosa horses all his life, loves them and paints them frequently. On the opposite side of the cow is a flowerbed, a series the artist had previously done. According to the artist, "I like the colorful nature of the cow and also representing two of my many different styles."
