Cownsel for the DeFence is a companion to Moo Justice. The artists painted both cows simultaneously. Cownsel for the DeFence represents todays lawyer and is a tribute to the 66,000 lawyers in Texas, who serve and provide their best legal counsel for the citizens of Texas. What a wonderful idea to honor Texas lawyers. The Cownsel for DeFence is so distinguished in its attire, we especially love the argyle vest that this bovine is wearing. The gold wrist watch is a wonderful added touch. This bovine is not your average lawyer.
Carol Slobin earned her BFA from the University of Houston. Her focus has been watercolor but lately has resumed painting in oils. She teaches watercolor classes during the year and gives workshops and demonstrations. Among the artists that have given her inspiration are Sargent, Sorolla and Velasquez.
Sylvia Trybek earned her MFA degree from the University of Houston, and is best known for her oil paintings that have been exhibited nationwide and have earned numerous awards. She was born and raised in Poland and her international background has greatly influenced her artwork.
